An airport in Alexandroupoli recived a distress signal from a Turkish military hekicopter early Sunday morning. There were 8 Turkish soldiers on board fleeing Turkey in the wake of the failed coup.
Turkey has demanded their extradition.
The helicopter was returned to Turkey but figuring out what to do with the soliders is not so simple.
They deny taking part in the coup, and there is fear that Erdogan may reinstate the dath penalty.
