Scandal: Police arrested charedi parents in the midst of the Shabbos
Baby in critical condition, police suspect abuse. It is still unclear whether the allegations are true or not, but the police couldn't wait and arrested the parents on shabbos. What was so urgent?

A charedi couple from Modi'in Illit was detained on suspicion of abusing their infant daughter.
Bechadrey charedim learned that police arrived at the intensive care unit at Tel Hashomer Hospital on shabbos, and detained parents of a baby hospitalised in ICU.
A 1 1/2 year old infant, was found last Thursday in her bed unconscious with no pulse. After resuscitation she was taken to Tel Hashomer hospital in critical condition.
After testing conducted at the hospital the doctors suspect that parents caused toddlers injury.
it should be noted that under Israeli law, as soon as any suspicion of criminality the hospital is required to report to the police - and these must launch an investigation.
As mentioned above, during Shabbos, parents were detained at the police station and released at the end of shabbos. It is still unclear why the parents were arrested on shabbos, while their daughter was hospitalized in the hospital under medical supervision, without any consideration of their religious values.
One of the neighbors told bechadrey that the girl was checked by a pediatrician on Thursday and sent home.
In the evening, the parents discovered that she was unconscious and called hatzala. She was taken to the hospital in a serious condition. "This couple has five children, completely normative" the neighbor says.
As stated, Police investigators arrived at the hospital and took parents for interrogation.
Police officials say that the parents suggested that they walk to the police station, but since the walk there isn’t safe, they were taken to a police car for questioning on shabbos.
On motzei shabbos the parents were released with restrictive conditions to house arrest.
