Rabbi Eliezer Berland, awaiting a decision whether to extend the detention until the end of his proceedings, somehow managed to send a letter of support to his Chassidim. In a letter written in his own handwriting, first published in "Chadrei Charedim" the Rabbi writes: "To my Chassidim and the rest of Klal Yisroel, I ask everyone to please help Rabbi Aharon Schwartz who runs the Kehila Kedosha here in Beersheva. Each and every person should contribute generously for the expenses are tremendous. "
Rabbi Berland also wrote to his followers: "Anyone who comes here must learn at least three times a day. Every individual should try to learn seven times, Maseches Kiddushin if possible. B'Birchas Hatorah, Eliezer Berland."
