Stabbing attack near Yitzhar; soldier lightly wounded
An Arab terrorist threw stones out of his vehicle, an IDF force opened pursuit, fired and killed him. One soldier sustained minor injuries

This afternoon (Wednesday) a stabbing attack was reported near Yitzhar. A number of Palestinian-terrorists in a passing vehicle threw stones at military jeep on Tizr Gilad, shattering the windshield.

An IDF began pursuit of the vehicle towards Jith junction - the jeep collided with the terrorist's car, the soldiers got out to arrest the terrorist who ran into a soldier and stabbed him in the neck.
The wounded soldier fired and killed the terrorist. The soldier was taken for medical treatment to Beilinson Hospital in Petach Tikva.
Gilad axis is blocked Arabs until further notice.
Yossi Dagan, head of the Shomron Regional Council, said that "another attack in Samaria prevented thanks to the soldiers' resourcefulness. I would like to thank the soldiers who protect the citizens of Israel.
