Five chareidi soldiers were physically and verbally assaulted when they chanced upon a Demonstration in kikar Hashabbos last night. The soldiers were not in uniform but were carrying their firearms. Three of the soldiers also had their Yamukas stolen

A group of Chareidi soldiers were violently assaulted last night in a demonstration that took place in kikar Hashabbos in Yerushalaym. The group unsuspectingly passed by kikar Hashabbos during the demonstration when they were violently attacked by some of the protesters. Besides suffering physical and verbal abuse, some of the soldiers also had their Yamukas taken away from them.
During the course of the demonstration, green garbage dumpsters were set ablaze and dragged into the middle of the intersection. The protesters managed to block traffic. some sat themselves on the street to block oncoming traffic until being forcefully removed by police.
