Skillah Sreifah: Constructing Worker Falls To His Death After Being Electrocuted

A 23 year old Arab construction worker from Yu’’sh(Yehuda Veshomron) working on Rechov Teib in Bnei Brak was electrocuted earlier today. The shock caused the worker to lose consciousness and fall three stories to the ground. The worker later died from his injuries.

The incident took place a little before 10:00 Am in the morning. MDA and Hatsalah volunteers that arrived on the scene found the worker unconscious and suffering from head and lower body injuries. Volunteers quickly administered first aid than transfered him to Tel Hashomer Trauma Center near Tel Aviv for further treatment. The worker was listed in serious condition and was pronounced dead in the hospital.
Dan regional police have opened an investigation into the incident.

A preliminary investigation reveals that the 23 year old worker lifted a metal beam during the course of his work that touched a live high voltage wire which caused him to get electrified. After losing conciseness he fell three flights to the ground and was severely wounded.

Ya’rit Farkash a MDA paramedic that arrived at the scene said “we arrived at the scene and found a man in his thirties lying on the floor unconscious, suffering from many injuries. we started providing lifesaving first aid in an attempt to stabilize him. We then transferred him to Tel Hashomer Trauma Center in serious and unstable condition”.
