Terror cell that carried out four shooting attacks against IDF soldiers near Ofra in the Binyamim region were arrested, they are expected to be indicted in the coming days

A gag order has been lifted on the arrest of a dangerous terror cell that was operating in the Mateh Binyamin Region carrying out shooting attack on an IDF position near the town of Ofra. The arrests were carried out by the General security agency in conjunction with the IDF and Mishmar Hagvul (Border police).
The (Shin Bet) Israel General security service investigation reveals that the cell comprised of three Palestinian minors who carried out four separate shooting attack between the months of October and November. The weapons used in the attacks were home-made by the terrorists themselves.
While conducting the investigation security forces located and confiscated the weapons and cars that were used by the terrorists in the attacks. Some family members were also arrested for concealing the arms used in the attacks.
The investigation’s results are being handed over to military prosecutors who will use the evidence to indict the terrorists in the coming days.
The discovery of the terror cell raises concern of terror cells that operate in local areas and can acquire weapons by manufacturing it in their own homes.
