The UNESCO passed an anti-Israel resolution this past Friday, calling all the territories including east Yerushalayim which incorporates the Jewish quarter and Kosel Hamaravi, illegally occupied territories.

The resolution calls for countries to differentiate between Israel and the so-called occupied territories.

In light of the Obama administration’s decision to refrain from casting a veto, as in the past when similar resolutions were put forth, ambassador Dan Shapiro has been summoned for an official reprimand.

The reprimand is assumed to take place next week and will be given by PM Netanyahu Himself who is also acting as foreign secretary of Israel.

Responding to the resolution, Netanyahu said “the resolution that was passed is distorted and shameful. The resolution calls the Jewish quarter and the Kosel as occupied, that is absurd”.

PM Netanyahu also blamed President Obama for not casting a veto “He acted against what was agreed” said PM Netanyahu. “All American presidents since Carter have stood to the agreement of not forcing conditions upon Israel through the UN”.

Netanyahu Added “I want to tell you that the resolution does not bring peace any closer, to the contrary it pushes it further away. This resolution is also an affront to justice and truth”.

PM Netanyahu also called out the UN for the absurdity of passing resolutions against Israel, while a half-million people have been killed and are still being killed in unrests taking place in Syria.
