Bechasdei shomayamim terror attack prevented: Two women attempting to enter Israel through the Erez crossing yesterday (Wednesday) were caught smuggling explosives used for bomb making. Security officials believe the two were acting on behalf of the Hamas terror group who was planning to carry out a terror attack in Israel.

The two women are sisters and were entering Israel on humanitarian claims, allegedly they were in need of medical assistance. They were granted an entry permit to receive medical assistance, since one of the sisters suffers from cancer.

While carrying out the standard security check at the crossing, security personnel discovered explosives hidden in medicine cylinders disguised as medication.
The two sisters from Gaza were taken into custody and transferred to the GSS for further investigation.

A preliminary report reveals that the explosives were sent by the Hamas terror organization, to be used in an attack they were planning to carry out in the near future.
The discovery of the explosives reveals that Hamas is still actively trying to carry out terror attacks in Israel even during periods of relative calm.
The incident also highlights the inhumane methods employed by Hamas, exploiting innocent people in need of medical assistance for the sake of perpetrating terror attacks.
