The Torah scrolls theft and selling affair from the synagogue at the Brosh settlement is coming to an end. At least one Torah scroll has been returned to the synagogue.
Recalling during this past Simchat Torah in the synagogue whilst dancing with the Torah scrolls, a member of the Vaknin family whose family had donated the Torah scroll requested to see it, but inside the case cardboard paper was revealed.
Mordechai Vaknin a member of the synagogue at the Brosh settlement, told B'Chadrei Charedim: "We were amongst those who discovered that the Torah which we donated is gone. We bought it from a Jew from Beer Sheva, and paid him 80 thousand shekels, but now, after we turned to the court the Torah was returned to the synagogue."
Concerning Rabbi Rosalie, he admitted stealing Vaknin says: "The Rabbi is still a rabbi of the settlement and gets paid by the religious council of Bnei Shimon region.
"We are very pained by the story which still accompanies us since Simchat Torah."
