Hgray"l on the decrees: "It all comes from the advice of Satan"

An interesting statement was made yesterday morning by Hgray"l Steinman, when he arrived to attend the siyum of maseches gittin, conducted by students of Yeshiva Orchos Torah, which they learned during the last winter. The siyum was held in the dining room of the yeshiva, and during his speech Hgray"l referred to the yeshiva world and decrees hovering over their heads: "it all comes from the advice of the Satan, because lately much Torah was learned and he is outraged that Torah is increasing in Israel and so he tries to trick various difficulties to harm those who study Torah."

In recent days, Hgray"l was asked by schools and seminary directors, what Bnos Yisrael should strengthen during these days, to adding to the grace of G-d, to cancel the decree. Hgray"l said that they must be strengthened in three things: reciting Tehillim, keeping Shabbos, and Loshon Hora.

When Hgray"l's students heard the provision concerning keeping Shabbos, they mentioned the words spoken on one occasion by Rabbi Yitzhak Lowenstein zt"l. Rabbi Lowenstein spoke to Hgray"l about a certain Orthodox man, that "he keeps Shabbos".

Hgray"l did not get the literal definition and replied: "How do you know? Have you checked his ways? To be a shomer Shabbos it's not that simple! Here, for example, few people know that one must not move for no reason, an empty plastic bag which was lying there, for it may be muktze ... And many many more things. While those who did not know and did it are not considered desecrating Shabbos, but for being called a Shomer Shabbos, one must know that it's not easy at all."

Meanwhile, this morning - after shacharis – Hgray"l came for birkas ilanot at the garden of Rabbi Moshe Sehayek, who lives in Kiryat Herzog.
