In light of the Halperin affair which is stirring London, one hundred people arrived at the Lag B'Omer bonfire in the courtyard of the shul in Golders Green. The hadlaka was held by the elderly Rabbi, Rabbi Elchanan Halperin.
This was followed by a festive meal. Guest of honor at the event was Rabbi Yosef Segal, Rosh Kollel Tzemach Tzedek in Jerusalem. The seuda was attended by Hgr"e's sons – Reb Duvid, Reb Chaim and Reb Moshe.
Hgr"e Halperin, who at the ripe old age of 91 who still gives shiurim, will arrive in Israel after Shavuos to participate in the large weddings of Belze and Sanz, who the grooms are his great grandchildren.
