When the gevir refuses to meet the Rebbe: Rabbi Elish nglander, who belongs to Machnovka, refused to meet the Toldos Avraham Yitzchak Rebbe, who is currently visiting London.
The reason: The Rebbe participated in the main Sheva Brachos held for the Belzer Rebbe's grandson.
Toldos Avraham Yitzchak Rebbe went out on Sunday for four days in London to raise funds to complete the acquisition of the Beis Midrash on Oneg Shabbos Street in Meah Shearim in Jerusalem.
During the rounds, the Rebbe also went from home to home of the wealthy members of the Jewish neighborhoods of London, whilst David Scharf from Flatbush took upon himself to complete the fund raising.
But the visit ended with a little disappointment: Rabbi Elish Englander, one of the Machnovka chassidim who is hostile to Belze, refused yesterday (Tuesday) to see the Rebbe, because he participated in the central Sheva Brachos last Sivan.
It is well known, that there is severe hostility between Belze and Machnovka – which also requires the name Belze – and the one who opposes the peace agreements between the courts is Rabbi Elish Englander.
Despite pleas, the tycoon refused to see him it at his home in Stamford Hill. Ultimately he sent with his son, Rabbi Pinny Englander, a check for the Rebbe.
Previously, when the Rebbe of Toldos Avraham Yitzchak would come to London, he stayed during the weekday at the home of Rabbi Pinchas Englander and on Shabbos at his father, Rabbi Elish Englander.
In the past Rabbi Elish Englander would contribute a large sum each year to Toldos Avraham Yitzchak, but now reduced the amount.
That refusal meeting between the tycoon and the Rebbe became the talk of the day in the shuls and Batei Midrash of London.
Tomorrow (Thursday) the Toldos Avraham Yitzchak Rebbe will return to Israel.
