Anti-Semitism in Switzerland: A Chasidic avrech by the name of A. Vekstock was attacked yesterday (Monday) afternoon by a local 60 year old, and was taken to hospital.
The incident occurred at 18:30 clock in Debus, Switzerland, when the avrech entered a local supermarket of the Migro network. A local 60 year old attacked him, stabbed him with a knife in his hands and shouted anti-Semitic slogans.
The avrech escaped, but the man followed him. After the avrech got into his car, the latter shattered the glass of his car window while his wife and children were in it.
Gentiles who were in the supermarket did not intervene to prevent the act.
The avrech came to shull where they bandaged him and called the police but it announced that they do not have any forces available and can not arrive to stop the attacker. The avrech threatened to publicize the incident, and he was promised that a police car would arrive to take testimony, but so far nothing has been done.
This month Switzerland is full of Haredi Jews who come for vacation in Switzerland from all over the world. Among them are Rebbes and Rabbis. The resent case is very troubling to tourists and vacationers.
