Chabad house raid in London: manager arrested

London police detectives raided the charity organization in Stamford Hill. According to the report, one of the detainees is the director of Chabad in London.

Orthodox community in Stamford Hill in London in turmoil. Disguised as police detectives raided the ultra-Orthodox neighborhood early this morning and arrested a number of haredi charity managers, including Chaim Yitzchak Cohen Director of Old Hill Street Beit Midrash whilst confiscating documents and computers.

Director of Chabad of Stamford Hill told Behadrey Haredim, "This is a crook who decided to call himself a director of the Chabad House and wages war against Chabad emissaries in London for years ". He said the man is not related to the global Chabad network and has no affiliation with Chabad.

According to a report this morning from London dozens of police officers and detectives raided the home of Cohen in the morning, and confiscated computers and documents in his home at the Chabad House. It should be noted that amongst the detectives were also Hebrew-speaking detectives who wear tzitzit, with shirts that say "police" in Hebrew.

According to information received by behadrey haredim: Apparently this is an Interpol investigation that lasted a long time, investigators and detectives who came to Chabad put each item into boxes and even ordered the truck to load all confiscated items on the spot.
