"The decline in the polls is bad news not only for Shas, but also for the disadvantaged as a whole and the entire Haredi public," says tonight (Monday), Shas MK Yaakov Margi, to Behadrey Haredim.

In an interview in light of the latest survey of Channel 10, which predicts 6 seats for Shas, Margi says that the survey is worrisome and it is difficult to point to one reason for the crash in the polls: "You can not point to a single issue," he said, "We are in the opposition, there is the security dialogue, Maran's passing and all the conflicts in the movement can be reasons".

However, he expressed the hope that "the polls for the elections will change, and we can restore the achievements, if we go for unity". And concluded: "We need to embrace everyone, to come together and start doing field work."

Haredi political system concern: According to the latest survey of Channel 10 News, published this evening (Monday), Shas gets 6 seats, while the one sweeping away the majority of its votes, is apparently Moshe Kahlon's party.

United Torah Judaism gets 8 seats in the polls, thus crashing the Haredi power from 18 seats to 14.

According to the poll, Likud gets 22 seats, the Jewish Home 17, Yesh Atid 14, Labor - 13, Arab parties - 11, Kahlon - 9, Israel Beiteinu - 9, Meretz - 7, The Movement - 4.

The trend of Shas' contraction was already pointed out in other surveys by research institutions in recent weeks.

Shas Chairman - Aryeh Deri, claimed that these surveys do not reflect, due to defects in the sampling method. This is a survey of another research institute which also indicates a continued trend. This time the survey was conducted by the Sample Project institute, under the direction of Dr. Ariel Ayalon and supervision of Prof. Kamil Fuchs.
