Global campaign for construction of R' Boruch Ber's tomb

75 years since the death of the founder and leader of the Torah world of his generation, Rabbi Boruch Ber Leibowitz zt"l, the Birkas Shmuel, who until now has a considerable influence in the Torah world and whose way Torah learning is the most favorite among yeshiva students and kollel avreichim - at last a tomb will be erected on his grave in the city of Vilna, Lithuania, as it was never built.

In honor of the exciting event, there will be a distinguished ceremony attended by hundreds of people coming from all over the world, especially from Israel, the US and the UK – from which full private and commercial flights will leave.

The event will be led by his grandson and successor, Rosh Yeshiva of Ponevez and Kamenitz Hagaon Rabbi Chaim Shlomo Leibowitz, who will be joined by Hagaon Rabbi Moshe Shapiro, Hagaon Rabbi Yitzchak Shiner, Hagaon Rabbi Malkiel Kotler, Hagaon Rabbi Eliyahu Ber Wachtfoigel and it seems that even the mashgiach Hagaon Rabbi Dan Segal who is currently in the United States - will join the campaign.

Gedolei Yisroel will be accompanied by a long list of benefactors and supporters of the Torah world, who see the need to participate in the sublime event of 'Kavod HaTorah', the construction of the tomb for one who was unique in the Yeshivish way of study. Among others, the families of Sharon and Wolfson will join, as well as benefactors R' Ezra Irani, R' Reuven Dessler, R' Shlomo Rechnitz, R' David Bodner, R' George Rabber, R' Haber coming from the United States, also joined by R' Shlomo Weiler, R' Albert Ben-Dahan, R' Meir Maslo from England.

The construction of the tombstone was made possible after much effort and extensive search for the precise place of the grave, and with the help of the local community, when heading the Va'ad Hahatzala which helped the process are Rabbi Avraham Biderman, former Finance Minister of the State of New York, and Rabbi Ezra Irani, one of the Haleb community leaders in New York.
