USA: elderly Zlatshov Rebbe zt"l

Baruch Dayan Haemes: Zlatshov Rebbe - Rabbi Yechiel Michel Mechlowitz of blessed memory passed away in Monsey, USA, and he was 90 at his parting.

Today the Rebbe was admitted to hospital in Manhattan, where his condition deteriorated and he returned his soul to its Creator.

The Zlatshov Rebbe zt"l, is a descendant of Rabbi Mechle of Zlatshov zt"l. For many years he led his Beit Midrash in the city of Netanya where he did much for Judaism and his hospitality was well known.

Ten years ago, he moved to the US and settled in Monsey, where he led the Beit Midrash.

The Rebbe had a kabalah by Rabbi Aaron of Belz zt"l not togo to the doctor, and people who came to him for advice on medical issues – he did not send to the doctor because of this acceptance.

The funeral will be held tonight from the Beit Midrash in Monsey and his coffin will be brought to Israel to the cemetery in Netanya.
