Orthodox community in Stamford Hill agitated by a letter published yesterday by Rabbi Yosef Halevi Vosner, Rabbi of Satmar (Mahara), against the Shomrim organization in London, the Rabbi accuses the organization which teases the gentiles and is against Daas Torah.
Rabbi continues: "Recently we heard here in the UK, particularly in London voice of opposition from the Gentiles, which would cause us and anyone great concern and fear of danger to the Lord preserve us, because we heard clear eighty years ago in Hungrary and Poland etc. from evil yemach, and awareness and talk that look very similar to today's starting method of that nation, Lord have mercy.
The Rabbi ends the letter and forbids his followers to join the organization.
In Stamford Hill in London they say that the background to the letter is mainly a great demonstration of the Gentiles which is supposed to take place in March, labeled: "Jewish ultra-Orthodox community takeover of the neighborhood", and directed mainly to the cooperation of the police with the organization of the Shomrim. Last weekend, police arrested the organizer of the event, who meanwhile gained much sympathy among gentile neighbors.
However, in Stamford Hill noted the importance of the activities of the Shomrim, eliminate robberies and anti-Semitic attacks, which have become a daily event in the neighborhood.
