Baruch Dayan Haemes: Mekubal Rabbi Pinchas Shneor zt"l

Baruch Dayan truth: Kabbalist Rabbi Pinchas Shneor of blessed memory, of the sages and rabbis of Morocco died tonight (Wednesday) in Jerusalem, at the age of 83.

Recently, he fell ill and this evening returned his soul to its Creator at his daughter's home in Bayit Vegan neighborhood in Jerusalem.

Rabbi Pinchas zt" l was born in Morocco on 13th Elul תרצ"א, to his father Rabbi Yehiya zt"l and his mother Ruchama a"h.

During his lifetime he was ordained for slaughter by the Baba Sali zt"l – for which he would slaughter the chickens.

He lived in Jerusalem, on HaChoma Hashlishit Street, in a house which he inherited from his father, and continued the tradition of wearing traditional Moroccan clothing.

Rabbi Pinchas zt"l to bring many salvation and blessings, especially at the Mimouna celebration of Passover night to which many flocked.

The funeral procession left this evening at 22:00 from the Shamgar Sephardic funeral home towards Mount Hamenuhot where he will be laid to rest.
