Why was the Rebbe of Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok at the Western Wall?

In the middle of the night - at around 4:00 AM – the Rebbe of Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok came uncharacteristically to pray at the Western Wall.

The Rebbe's visit to the Western Wall plaza is considered rare, since the Rebbe is one of the circles of radicals who do not go to the Western Wall, and his father the Rebbe zt"l even prohibited to those who asked to go to the Kosel and agreed with the opinion of his mentor the Satmar Rebbe zt"l.

Although the visit was kept secret, about thirty followers of the Rebbe came with him and his car went into the plaza area.

Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok explained that the Rebbe came on the occasion of his Rebbe's yahzrteit the Imrei Chaim of Vizhnitz zt"l, whose yahrzeit is on 9th Nissan. The Rebbe would travel all the years on the yahrtzeit on Erev Pesach to Miron, but now as a result of the difficulty of traveling, he went to the Kosel.

This is the first time since the Rebbe came to the Kosel since he began serving as Rebbe. The last few times he visited the Kosel, were after the Six-Day War in 1967. In each of these cases, he would stand on the roof of the Temple Institute.
