Gaza media reported that the IDF opened fire at houses east of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip. A military source said: "It is not clear who was responsible for the fire at IDF soldiers."

Following the shooting, farmers in the western Negev were guided by the security officials to stop agricultural work at the fence.
