Germany is preparing for Pesach: seminars were held in the local Jewish communities, which explained to the participants on the laws and customs of the holiday, kashering and Hagalah of utensils, as well as lectures and explanations of the Haggadah and holding the Seder night.

In the state of Baden-Württemberg, Germany, there are about 5,000 Jews who are spread in a number of communities and regions. At least 1,000 people will participate in ten public Seders for which Jewish leaders and benefactors of the country have been working for a long period of time, in order for them to be for the best.

Already at the beginning of the month of Nisan rabbis of ten communities in the State of Baden-Württemberg, Germany, headed by the chief rabbi, Rabbi Moshe Flumenman, met in relation to preparations for Pesach in the communities.

Among the issues discussed: kashering kitchens, Hagalah, the sale of chametz, religious articles and holy books, the purchase of additional Sifrei Torah and checking mikvehs for the holiday.

The seminar which took place in Karlsruhe was held thanks to the support of Mr. Rami Suleiman, chairman of the umbrella organization of the Jewish communities in the State of Baden-Württemberg who has done much for German Jewry.
