Concern in the Torah world of London: 800 yeshiva students and their parents "in the crosshairs" with the authorities, following a report published by the Ministry of Education in England whereby more than eight hundred ultra-Orthodox youths aged 13 to 18 are not enrolled in a 'known' school, of the Ministry of Education.

There are 23 orthodox institutions on the list of suspects that their children are not registered, and the Ministry of Education intends to run the law against them.

This is a test conducted by the Ministry of Education in haredi concentrations in England, in London's Hackney district - district where a large ultra-Orthodox concentration are living, and at least 800 boys are not registered in the education system.

The problem is that cheiderim and yeshivas not recognized by the government as an educational institution. The ultra-Orthodox and the number of children enrolled in schools also set a red light when it was found that the number of girls is 7 times than the number of boys. For example, the number of girls registered in one county is 721, compared to 104 boys. At 13, 274 girls were registered and only 49 boys.

Other Orthodox areas in the UK, such as Manchester, Salford and Bury, found that the difference between boys and girls enrollment is not as high as the areas mentioned.

Moreover, reveals the report, the last two years, there was no opening of an institute Orthodox, although the birth rate increased. "It is against the law to open a non-approval of the Ministry of Education," said a spokesman for the Ministry of Education statement, and continues, "We are working together with the police and authority in place to reach all those institutions and ensuring that all children in state institutions would be legally registered and receive proper education."

The Ministry of Education has already sent letters to "problematic" institutions, and the only institution in the meantime replied to the Ministry of Education is the Satmar Yeshiva, where they argue students spend most of the day praying and so they do not have the time to study secular subjects.

It turns out that ultra-Orthodox institutions have been "targeted" by the Ministry of Education for some time, following the trend of "false reporting" by ultra-orthodox inspectors from the Ministry of Education. It was discovered that a very high percentage of school inspectors visited Orthodox Haredi institutions received excellent or very good ', i.e. best score. But as usual the inspectors arrived, only 20% of them were likely to score, and the rest received very bad grades.

Orthodox Union institutions tried to explain the differences in the reports that ultra-Orthodox students find it difficult to communicate with non-Jewish supervisors because of language problems, but this claim only increases the absurdity, that the children who are in educational institutions in the UK must by law learn the language well and control it.

However, the Orthodox Union of Teachers of England left their defense Orthodox Education Ministry inspectors, and said that only Orthodox supervisors who understand the language and content of Jewish students can test their level of knowledge of children.

Behadrey haredim learned that the heads of Talmud Torah and Yeshiva have not yet decided in which way to respond.
