A 22 year old talmid of the Sharei Tvuna Yeshiva in Elad was arrested while on a tiyul with his family in the area of the Dead Sea.

Bchadrey Charedim has learned that the bachur and his cousins was approached by a police officer who asked for their identity cards. Since the bachur has been wanted for some time for failing to appear at the recruitment office he was immediately arrested. It should be noted that he was following the instructions of his Rabanim who hold that it is forbidden for bachurim to present themselves at IDF recruitment centers all together.

Hagoan Rav Shmuel Auerbach shlita instructed the askanim of the Vad Hatzalas Olam Hatorah to "arouse the world" . "It is a Chovah to go out already tonight to protest all over the country until the bachur who is imprisoned on behalf of the Olam Hatorah and is making a Kiddush Hashem is released ."

In response to his instructions hafganot were held at 11:00 Wednesday night at the following intersections: Bar Ilan/ Shmuel Hanavi and Kikar Shabbas in Yerushalyaim, at the Coke Cola intersection on Bnei Brak, and Tzomet Shilat in Modiin Illit.
More than 10 protesters were arrested from all 4 sites.
