Three Injured In Shabbos Afternoon Stabbing Terror Attack In Yerushalayim
Two Jews were injured Shabbos afternoon in a stabbing terror attack in the old city. A policeman that chased the terrorist was also slightly injured- the 17-year-old terrorist was shot and killed

terror attack in rechov Hagai in the old city of Yerushalayim. A border policeman that pursued the terrorist was also injured in the attack; the 17-year-old Arab terrorist was B’’H shot and killed.
At about 3:15 PM Shabbos afternoon, the terrorist Achmed Aza’al noticed two Jews walking in rechov Hagai in the old city and started to follow them.
When he got very close to the two, he pulled out a knife and proceeded to stab them. Right after he stabbed them the terrorist immediately fled from the scene. MAGAV Border police who were nearby noticed the attack and took chase of the terrorist.
As he was being chased down rechov Hagai the terrorist noticed an open door leading into a residential building and ran inside in search of a place to hide. Police officers who were pursuing him followed him into the building and proceeded to arrest him. The terrorist resisted arrest and stabbed one of the officers in the process, at that point the officers opened fire and eliminated the terrorist.
As previously stated, two young Jews ages 18 and 20 were slightly injured in the attack and suffered stab wounds to their upper body. The two, as well as the the police officer who was also slightly injured, were transferred to the hospital for medical treatment.
Moments before he sat out for the attack, the 17-year-old terrorist, Achmad Aza’al, uploaded to his Facebook account a photo of himself in the AL-Aksa mosque on Har Habayis.
Uri Tzachi, a MADA paramedic who treated the wounded shared: “The injured received first aid medical attention by MADA members at the sight of the attack, and were then transferred by a MADA ATV to the Kotel plaza fully conscious, with stab wounds to their upper body. Their condition was light and moderate respectively, and they were immediately rushed to the hospital while still receiving further treatment on the way”.
On Friday night police officers arrested an Arab male who was carrying a knife and was on the way to carry out a terror attack.
The attack comes less than a week after police shot and killed a female Arab at Shar Shchem, after she pulled out a knife and attempted to stab them.
B’’H that attack, and the one Friday night were foiled.
