The Rebbe of Shomrei Emunim evacuated to hospital
"Lekayem Banu Chachmei Yisroel". The MDA and Ichud Hatzola paramedics resuscitated the Rebbe from Shomrei Emunim, 88 years old, in his home in Jerusalem. Concern among the Shomrei Emunim Chassidus
Yesterday morning (Mon.) at 10:24 am, a report was received by the MDA and Ichud Hatzola center about a person who lost consciousness in a private home adjacent to the Shomrei Emunim Beis Midrash in Meah She'arim, Yerushalayim.
The Ichud Hatzola and Zak"a paramedics who arrived on the scene, discovered that this is no other than the Rebbe of Shomrei Emunim, and started performing life saving actions on him, later on to be joined by the ICU team of MDA.
After about 50 minutes of resuscitation, during which Tehillim were said in the adjacent Beis Midrash, the Rebbe was evacuated in the I.C. ambulance to the Bikur Cholim hospital, in a critical and unstable condition.
The Rebbe successfully underwent a cardiac catheterization.
Sami Gossman, a volunteer in the motorbike unit of Zaka and an on-call paramedic of MDA in Jerusalem, told Behadrei Hareidim: "At 10:24 am I received a call on the MDA beeper about a person who had seemingly lost consciousness in Meah She'arim St. When I arrived on scene, I saw that this is the Shomrei Emunim Rebbe who was without pulse and breath. For about 45 minutes of continued and intensive resuscitation during which he received an electric shock, the pulse returned, and he was evacuated in a critical and unstable condition, unconscious and respirated to hospital".
The chairman of Ichud Hatzola, Harav Ze'ev Kashash, who was on scene, told Behadrei Hareidim "B"H, after performing life saving actions with the most advanced machinery of Ichud Hatzola, the pulse returned, and the resuscitation is defined as successful. The Rebbe will be evacuated in the next few minutes with continued resuscitation to the Bikur cholim hospital, his situation being hard but stable".
The Rebbe, who lives on Sfas Emes st. in Bnei Brak, spent Shavuos in his Beis Midrash in Jerusalem,.
The Tzibur is asked to daven for the Refuah Shleima of the Rebbe R' Avrohom Chaim ben Sima, among all the ill of Klal Yisroel.
