Yavne: Week after destruction – demonstrations and collisions. Watch

A week after the destruction and damage which was done to a 1300 years old furnace, which was found in the building site of "Israeli train" in Yavne, yesterday (Tues.) the representatives of Atra Kadisha arrived at the place in the aim of continuing to demonstrate against the desecration of graves.

At the organization, they claimed yesterday that desecration of graves is still being done while building the new railway.

During the demonstration, which lasted a few hours, collisions occurred between the demonstrators and the site workers and police forces, who even detained for investigation a few of t he demonstrators for violating public order. Later on, the detainees were released.

In the competing organization. the Organization for Prevention of Desecration of Graves", they hold harsh accusations against the demonstrators: "Last Thursday the work of exposing the site were stopped," says Arale Yakter. "The conclusion is that there are no graves there, and the demonstration is for no reason, just as they did not send a supervisor on their behalf for almost a week when the works were stopped."
