On Friday night, Rebbetzin Devorah Krinsky a"h, passed away, wife of Harav Chaim Yehuda Krinsky, personal secretary to the Lubavitcher Rebbe zt"l, after a short illness. The Rebbetzin passed away surrounded by her family and relatives, her husband and children, and after hearing kiddush at her bedside.

Rebbetzin Krinsky was born to her parents R' Zeev and Mrs. Etta Kzinitz, who lived in Brownsville in Brooklyn, New York, which was a center for Chabad activity in the United States about 70 years ago. She was one of the first students of the Chabad Girls' School 'Beit Rivka', and she studied at the High School of Beth Jacob Williamsburg in Brooklyn.

Immediately after their marriage, in 5717, her husband, Rabbi Krinsky was called to serve in the office of the Rebbe zt"l.

As mother of the family, and a vigorous, supportive partner in her husband's holy work, Rebbetzin Krinsky was an exemplary character of a true woman of valor. She built her home on Montgomery street in the Chabad neighborhood of Crown Heights as a warm home to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her home was open for everyone, and for visitors and dignitaries from all over the world who arrived at the Chabad World Center. Her warmth and humor, along with her wisdom of life and her concern for others - gave all those in her midst a special feeling.

She is survived by her husband Harh"c R' Chaim Yehuda, her sons: Rabbi Hillel David, R' Menachem Mendel, R' Levi Yitzchak, Chabad emissary in New Hampshire and R' Shemaiah, her sons-in-law: R' Yosef Baruch HaCohen Friedman, R' Yosef Yitzchok Foterfas, and her brother, Rabbi Moshe Kzinitz - resident of Livingstone, New Jersey.

The journey of funeral was on Sunday at 12:00 noon from the funeral home Shomrei Hadas, Boro Park, pass next to the Chabad Center 770 at 1:00 in the afternoon, on the way to the Montefiore cemetery in Queens.

During the Shiva, there will be prayers and Nichum Aveilim in her house on 729 Montgomery Street between Kingston and Albany.

May her soul be cherished in the bundle of life.
