Avivit Shaar returns to the apartment which was burned down

Nearly a year has passed since the disaster which passed on Avivit Shaar, who lost her husband and her five children in a fire, and this week she entered her new apartment in Rechovot, built on the ruins of the former house which went up on fire.
Since the accident Avivit lived with her parents, located near her apartment, where she recovered from the blow she suffered.
A special fundraising campaign by the Rechovot municipality and private sources collected thousands of shekels to equip the new apartment with furniture and electrical appliances.
"Avivit is very emotional and wants to thank everyone," says director of the Ulpana, Rabbi Zev Cohen, who has known Avivit for 16 years - since she was a student, in a conversation with 'local news'. Rabbi Cohen said that the holiday season is the most difficult for Shaar: "On weekdays she is busy, but when it's a holiday – the memories surf. I feel her difficulty and private pain on one hand, and her huge emotional strength on the other."
Shaer, a teacher at the Tzvia Ulpana in the city, continued to teach throughout the past year, and colleagues say that despite the disaster that befell her she rose, gathered new strength and did not give in to herself".
"She decided with herself that she will not accept any discounts. She woke up every morning, went to work and helped students who are having trouble in with their studies," said one of her acquaintances. Meanwhile, Shaar is dealing every day with the trauma and reminds her acquaintances again and again the loss of her husband and children and the vast hole it has opened in her.
