Are the Lithuanian public struggles turning into physical violence?

Nati Grossman, editor of the Hapeles, of the Ashdod branch of the Lithuanian public, was attacked last night after 1:00 am by two unknown orthodox assailants who appeared, at the entrance to the building where he lives on 14 Bayit Vegan Street in the Bayit Vegan neighborhood in Jerusalem.

Grossman, a former editor of Yated Ne'eman - who was ousted from his position immediately after the revolution carried out under the direction of the paper, was taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, where his condition is defined as mild, he was checked and treated. Grossman was found lying at the entrance to the elevator, bleeding - by neighbors.

The report which was received at 1:08 at MDA was concerning the slight injury of a 17 year old young man lying on the street and bleeding. Paramedic of the rescue team of MDA arrived at the scene, and gave Grossman primary health care. According to the medic, Grossman arrived at the door of the building, where two people had asked him where a certain family lives. Once he started to reply, they attacked him with blows - and fled.

Paddy Dakidak, an MDA ambulance driver who treated Grossman, told B'Chadrei Charedim what happened: "I was called to treat someone who was attacked at the entrance to his house in Bayit Vegan in Jerusalem. The victim had bruises and small dry cuts on his face. After medical treatment, he was evacuated in mild condition to hospital. His wife and children and other neighbors, were with him when we treated him. "

According to reports, two unknown seemingly orthodox men, were seen running away.

Jerusalem Police opened an investigation to examine the circumstances. Police also came to the hospital. Also Grossman's close friends came to stay with him.

Jerusalem police spokesman Shmulik Ben Ruby told B'Chadrei Charedim that according to the victim, the attack is against the journalist rival, but police are investigating a number of other directions.

Etti Dvir, spokeswoman for Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, reported to B'Chadrei Charedim that the victim was preparing for release, and that his condition is mild and stable.

Two hours before the attack on the Nati Grossman, yeshiva students from the stream associated with Hgr"sh Auerbach rioted at the Ponovicz Yeshiva in Bnei Brak, during the weekly sermon of Rabbi Yitzhak Pinchas Goldwasser, a mashgiach at Ohr Yisrael yeshiva. This is due to his statements last week to the yeshiva students against Hgr"sh Auerbach.

Every Thursday Rabbi Goldwasser gives a weekly shiur at the 'Halichot Chaim' shul in Bnei Brak to dozens of yeshiva students and avreichim at the Ponovicz Yeshiva. During the shiur, at about 23:30, the electricity at the shul was turned off. Whilst the participants were sitting in complete darkness, the boys came in and started shouting.

Rabbi Goldwasser said to the Yeshiva students: "You have no forgiveness, when you're sick do not come to ask me for forgiveness."

One of the boys answered back: "You'll also be sick, do not come to ask forgiveness from Hgr"sh Auerbach."

One participant in the shiur called the police to dismiss the rioters, but when the police arrived there was nothing to do, since the riots had ended.
