Supreme Court to the State: Explain the continued funding to yeshivas and kollels

The petition filed in the High Court by Chado"sh against the continued funding of the Torah institutions – in light of cancellation of the Tal Law, and the prevailing situation at the moment where there is no legal exemption or delay for yeshiva students and kollels, has today (Tuesday) received attention for the first time.

The High Court issued an interim order requiring the state to explain why they have not stopped the funding for those 54 thousand students.

Recalling, Chado"sh approached two petitions, one of which demanded an end to the funding, and the other – to open recruitment of the yeshiva students, the two petitions were consolidated, and after the state will respond a hearing will be held.
