Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sarah, together with their sons, came with the opening of the polls at Ben Gurion School in Jerusalem to vote. "We call on all young people to come, to vote מחל, even if there are more trendy parties" said Yair, the son of the prime minister; beside him stood his brother, Avner, with a yarmulke. The father responded: "And also the Religious Zionism."


Later the prime minister and his family arrived at the Western Wall, prayed and placed a note in the Western Wall. The Prime Minister said: "I come to the Wall every time to touch the rock of our existence and I say a prayer for the future of Israel and the future of our people."


In Ra'anana, Habayit Hayehudi party chairman, Naftali Bennett voted at the ballot near his house. Bennett was accompanied by his wife Gilat and dozens of activists who danced and sang around him. Later in the day Bennett is expected to tour at the polls in the south and Gush Dan.

President Shimon Peres voted at the Arts High School in Jerusalem, and said of the allegations directed against him, that he intervened in the election: "Of course I am involved, I voted. Is that not interference?" In answer to the reporter's question if he debated behind the screen – he said: "Everyone should have doubts about who to vote, but not about voting."


Shas leader Aryeh Deri, arrived this morning to the polls on Hakablan Street in Jerusalem. "I, with my note, place Eli Yishai into the Knesset," said Deri and smiled. He voted with his wife Yaffa at the 'Derech Chaim' school. An hour later he accompanied together with the other leaders of Shas the President of the Council of Torah Sages of Shas Hgr"o Yosef.



In answer to the reporter's question, whether he sees the election results as his personal test - Deri said that it is not his sole responsibility. "Of course, it is my responsibility and I led the campaign, but thousands of people worked here together and the success will be all of ours," he said. Deri estimated that the Shas parties lost two seats, with Am Shalem of Rabbi Chaim Amsalem, and Koach Lehashpia of Rabbi Amnon Yitzchak. "We must remember that there are two parties that compete with us, and they will not pass the threshold but are biting two seats off us, according to surveys we held."

MK Moshe Gafni voted at the polls on Kehilat Yaakov Street in Bnei Brak. Then he went on a tour of Beitar Illit, Modi'in Illit and other cities to encourage the activist members in the area and get the Haredi street out of their apathy.


Deputy Health Minister Yaakov Litzman voted at Tamir. MK Menachem Moses voted on Ohalei Yosef Street. MK Yisrael Eichler voted on 10 Sorotzkin Street.


Interior Minister Eli Yishai prayed Shacharit this morning at the home of Hgr"o Yosef. Then he went to vote at the school on Ibn Danan. Atias voted at the school near his home on Hakablan Street.


MK Chaim Amsalem from Shas who retired and founded the party Am Shalem, voted at 10:00 at the polls situated at the stronghold of the movement from which he resigned - on Hakablan in Jerusalem.


Avigdor Lieberman, Yisrael Beiteinu party chairman and partner of the incumbent Prime Minister, voted this morning in the settlement where he lives - Nokdim - beyond the Green Line. After voting he said: "Today we are going to win a historic victory."
