Tragedy in Montreal: a Jew aged 61 was found floating in a mikveh, lifeless.

The incident occurred last Thursday morning, in the mikveh of Squer in Montreal. Rabbi Albert Pinto was found floating in a mikveh lifeless.

Rabbi Yeruham Rabinowitz, who was in the mikveh at the time of discovery of the body, says: "I went to the mikveh and I saw an elderly man standing the mikvah, leaning on the wall and his head falling into the water. I thought it was a Jews with a problem, I tried to talk to him but he did not answer. A teenager who was in the mikveh said he must speak French.

"Ten minutes after I left the mikveh I saw Hatzalah arriving. I later learned that the man apparently suffered a heart attack or a stroke in the middle of the tvillah."

The late Albert Pinto z"l was a lonesome Jew who davened in the Chassidic Batei Midrash in the area. The "Chessed Shel Emes" Organization took control over all burial needs in order to avoid profanation of the dead.

May his soul be bound in the bond of life.
