Conference led by the Caliber Rebbe, 300 rabbis and leaders of Jewish communities in Europe discuss developments related to assimilation

70 years later: European rabbis gather in Budapest

More than 300 rabbis from across Europe are expected to arrive next Monday at the annual conference of the Organization of the European Rabbinical Centre to be held in Budapest, Hungary.

At the conference rabbis will focus on developments in Europe related to assimilation, and will take place under heavy security of the domestic security services.

Hungary currently indicates full 70 years to the Jews of the country. Presidency, RCE, together with the Association of European Jewish organizations (EJA) decided to hold its annual conference in Hungary, as a show of solidarity to the huge Jewish communities throughout Europe with the local community.

The event will be held on 22nd – 23rd Adar (March 24-25) in Budapest and will feature in the center a Hungary Jewish Holocaust memorial ceremony featured by the Caliber Rebbe, the Chief Rabbis of Israel, Rabbi David Lau and Rishon Lezion Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef, Deputy Minister of Religious Services Rabbi Eli Ben-Dahan, the Hungarian government officials, along with more than 300 European rabbis members of RCE.

The following day there will be a series of discussions and debates which will participate in the European heads of Jewish organizations alongside more than 300 rabbis and community leaders, the war in the Jewish assimilation became the most troublesome problem in Europe. This addition to presenting solutions formulated various Jewish communities in collaboration team's rabbis of the Rabbinical Centre of Europe.

Participants at the conference will be Rabbi Yisrael Yaakov Lichtenstein Rabbi of the Federation of London and a member of the Presidency of European Rabbis, Rabbi Menachem Cohen from Paris and member of the Presidium of European Rabbis, Rabbi Michael Shmarla Rabbi of Strasbourg and a member of the Council of European Rabbis, Rabbi Benjamin Yakabd Chief Rabbi Netherlands districts and member of the Council of European Rabbis, Rabbi Yaakov David Shmal, dayan of Machazikei Hadas and a member of the Council of European Rabbis, Rabbi Yechia Tobol Rabbi of Leon - France, along with more than 300 rabbis and Jewish community representatives from across Europe.

RCE CEO, Rabbi Menachem Margolin, said that prior to the conference RCE held a comprehensive survey of all European countries, in order to characterize the phenomenon of assimilation and anti-Semitism as well as formulating different ways of coping. Data uncovered at particularly surprising and predictable trigger a global echo.

VP - RCE Rabbi Aryeh Goldberg said that the conference is the cohesion of all the rabbis of Europe with Jewish communities in Hungary and strengthening. "RCE" calls the European leaders to do their mission, and strengthen security and personal protection of rabbis, as well as Jewish communities, personal safety was undermined following a wave of anti-Semitism in Europe.
