"The police marked me because I fed the homeless in Santa Monica," says today RCHGH Rabbi Shlomo Konin chief emissary to the West Coast of the U.S., to CBS2 news network.

The Rabbi said that he and his son in law were on the way from Santa Monica where they distributed food to the homeless, during the distribution a policeman ordered him to stop, checked his car and gave him a traffic ticket that his "disabled sticker" was glued in a place which disturbs the visual field.

Immediately after the first officer left another officer arrived who gave the rabbi a fine for $340 for parking in a bus stop area.

In the remarks the policeman wrote that "The Rabbi fed homeless people". The Rabbi explained that he stopped in the bus stop because of the first officer who ordered him to stop, but the cop did not accept his explanation.

"They are not interested that Rabbi Konin with his beard, hat and black suit will come and feed the homeless," said Rabbi Konin to the news network.

In response the police said that the rabbi broke the law, and by chance two policemen who are unrelated to each other observed traffic violation.

Rabbi Shlomo Konin who is a popular media figure in California, is not ready to give up and does not agree with the argument that it is a coincidence, and he plans to appeal the fine in court.

Every year the rabbi holds an annual fundraising event the "Teltone" attended by leading Hollywood actors alongside capital tycoons and government officials.
