Two Lakewood Cheider Boys Undertake Nezirus
A difficult shaila arouse in a seventh grade classroom in Lakewood when two boys announced that they will undertake nezirus.

The Cheider Rebbe gave over a fascinating shiur in the halachos of nezirus and at the end of the lesson two 12 year old boys got up and declared that they accept upon themselves all the denim of a nazier.
The Cheider Rebbe was taken aback and brought the issue to the attention of the menahel who brought the question to a local posek. The posek said that althought the boys were not yet Bar Mitzvah this is a weighty sugyah and should be brought before Harav Shmuel Kamenetsky in Philadelphia.
The Rosh Yeshiva, Harav shmuel paskened that the boys are chayav to keep the denim of nezirus and that they will have to be matir neder . He said that in order to give the boys time to think through their weighty neder which entails not cutting their hair and completely abstaining form wine and grape juice, they should wait until after Shabbos to be Matir Neder.
