Battle over Arad Moving Forward
An atzeres tefillah and mach’oe will be taking place today in Bnei Brak, over the chillul Beis Haknesses in Arad

Struggle over Arad’s character: In light of the ongoing struggle in the city of Arad, Gedolei Hatorah Ve’chasidus have called for an atzeres to be held today (Tuesday) in Bnei brak. The atzeres will be spread out along Rechov chazon ish, with its center on chazon ish 31, across rechov harav Dessler.
Hamashpiah, R’ Elimelech Biddereman is set to address the crowd, and pirkei tehillem will be recited. The atzeres is expected to last for no longer than one hour and will be culminated by Kabolas ol malchus shomayim.
Organizers say, the atzeres was specifically planned to take place between 1:30 and 2:30, during bein hasdarim, so as not to disrupt Yeshivos and Kollelim in Bnei Brak. Many Signs have been put up along Rechov Chazon ish, stating things such as “the holy Torah will win”.
Participants of the atzeres have been told not to congregate around the crews of media covering the event- since the purpose is to be mekadesh shem shomayim.
A Police spokesman announced that rechov chazon ish and sections of rechov R’ Akiva will be closed off from 12:30 till 3:00. As well, Public transportation will not run along those streets.
Police have also released a statement regarding key points, participants should be aware of: Participants are asked to refrain from pushing and putting pressure along the barricades. Any suspicious object should immediately be reported. Ascending on top of roofs and bus stops is prohibited.
